Public Relations

The World Fighting Martial Arts Federation (WFMAF) engages in public relations with governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and nonprofit organizations in order to cultivate an open communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between the WFMAF and government, non-government, and nonprofit organizations. We feel that mutually beneficial relationships enhance the reputation, prestige, and positive image of all the organizations and agencies involved.

The members of WFMAF’s public relations committee is also committed to educate children, young adults, and senior citizens on the benefits of martial arts training to individuals and society as a whole.  Through WFMAF’s consistent hard work, we aim to enhance the health and wholeness of our culturally diverse society.

Bill de Blasio is an American politician who is the 109th and current mayor of New York City. From 2010 to 2013, he was New York City’s public advocate. He formerly was a New York City Council member, representing the 39th district in Brooklyn, which contains Borough Park, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Gowanus, Kensington, Park Slope, and Windsor Terrace. De Blasio, the Democratic Party nominee for mayor of New York City in the 2013 election, defeated Republican Joe Lhota with more than 73 percent of the vote. De Blasio is the first Democratic mayor of the city since David Dinkins, from 1990 to 1993.

About Senator John J. Flanagan:

Senator John J. Flanagan represents the 2nd District of the New York State Senate, which includes the entire Town of Smithtown and portions of both the Towns of Brookhaven and the Huntington, all located in Suffolk County, New York.  Senator Flanagan succeeded his father, John J. Flanagan, Sr., who served in the New York State   Assembly from 1973 to 1986.   In 1986,  at age 25, Senator John J. Flanagan, Jr. was elected to the New York State Assembly, serving until 2002, when he was elected to the New York State Senate.  On May 11, 2015, Senator Flanagan was elected as Temporary President of the New York State Senate.
