ATHLETE RANKINGS

The Athlete Rankings System is designed to rank competing athletes according to the number of medals they have won each year at the U.S. Open Martial Arts Championship. The Athlete Rankings System is a way of acknowledging competing athletes’ hard work, dedication, and performance. The Athlete Rankings System is a calculated points system based on the number of gold, silver, and bronze medals won by each competing athlete at the US Open Martial Arts Championship. Each gold medal is worth 30 points, each silver medal is worth 20 points, and each bronze medal is worth 10 points. The points system is generated by adding up the number of gold, silver, and bronze medals won by each competing athlete. The Athlete Rankings System categorizes competing athletes into three divisions:

• Gold Warriors Division
• Silver Warriors Division
• Bronze Warriors Division

To be ranked in the Gold Warriors Division, a competitor must earn a minimum of 100 points. To be ranked in the Silver Warriors Division, a competitor must earn a minimum of 80 points. To be ranked in the Bronze Warriors Division, a competitor must earn a minimum of 60 points. After the competition, once the results of the Athlete Rankings System are calculated, competing athletes who have earned the required points to be ranked in one of the divisions will be contacted by the US Open Martial Arts Championship committee and asked to submit detailed information of their martial arts experience,. This information will be published on the U.S. Open Martial Arts Championship website.
