Citation awarded to the US Open Martial Arts Championship by Senator John J. Flanagan
In Recognition of U.S. Open Martial Arts Championship 2013
Whereas; a Great State is only as great as those persons who give exemplary service to their community, whether through partication in voluntary programs, through unique personal achievement in their professional or other endeavors or simply through a lifetime of good citizenry; and,
Whereas; The U.S. OPen Martial Arts Championships are celebrating their fifth nationally recognized competition on October 6, 2013 under the direction of Grandmaster Li Tai Liang of Zen and Kung Fu Association in West Babylon; and,
Whereas; Martial Arts organizations have come together with their noble aims to teach children and adults how to develop their bodies, minds and hearts in order to live healthy and productive lives through training and competition; and,
Whereas; the U.S. Open Martial Arts Championships provide an opportunity for students of all ages and all levels to come together and show their martial arts skills in healthy and fair competition and all participants will be recognized with a certificate of appreciation and citations will be awarded to the medal winners; and,
Whereas; The U.S. Open Martial Arts Championships will also showcase World Class Masters in various martial arts and health disciplines as they demonstrate their techniques and artistry as inspiration to all participants and audience members; and,
Whereas; The U.S. Open Martial Arts Championships will be broadcast in the United States and China where Grandmaster Li Tai Liang and all participating schools hope to foster development of healthy men and women who can live productive and exemplary lives in this challenging world we live in. Now; Therefore. Be it
Proclaimed, That New York State commends and congratulates the U.S. Open Martial Arts Championships 2013 on their competition held on the Sixth Day of October in the Year Two Thousand and Thirteen.
