The Judge Certification and its complementary training course are developed by the World Fighting Martial Arts Federation (WFMAF) to promote a unified standard for judging martial arts competitions at local, regional, national, and international levels. The WFMAF awards 3 classes of judge certifications: judge certification (levels 1 to 3), national judge certification, and international judge certification. The requirements specified below serve as guidelines for the judge certification.
To apply for judge certification, the applicant must be a member of the WFMAF and meet all the requirements for the level of judge certification applying for. Judge certifications awarded by other reputable martial arts organizations will be evaluated and considered toward the grading of the applicant. The judge certification is awarded to an applicant based upon the applicant’s completion of the Judge Certification training course, and the applicant’s scoring and judging ability in a demo environment provided by the WFMAF.
